Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what you type into the sign-up form, and use it to contact you about our clinical trials and medical research studies.
The form includes health questions. We ask for your consent before collecting those answers.
If a sign-up is started but not finished, we keep the answers given up to that point and may get in touch to complete the rest.
We do not sell your information.
We never send health answers to Google's advertising or analytics tools, or to any advertising service.
Analytics and advertising measurement run only if you allow them. If you do, Google receives a signal that a sign-up happened and a scrambled copy of the email address. It does not receive names, phone numbers or health answers.
You can ask to see or delete your information at any time.

Who we are

This site is operated by Zhittya Genesis Medicine, Inc. ("Zhittya," "we," "us"), 8683 West Sahara Avenue, Suite 280, Las Vegas, Nevada 89117, United States. This policy covers pd-studies.com only.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Sign-up details: first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, country, city, state or province, zip or postal code, age, gender assigned at birth, and whether you are signing up for yourself or for a loved one.
Health answers: whether a medical professional has diagnosed Parkinson's, the stage, whether the person has deep brain stimulation, main symptoms, and any other symptoms you describe. We collect these only after you check the consent box on that step of the form.
Study planning answers: whether the person can travel to a research site that may be outside their home country, whether they can commit to one week there, whether they hold a current passport, and where they heard about us.
Unfinished sign-ups: each step of the form is saved when its button is pressed. If the form is not finished, we keep the answers given up to that point.
Messages you send us by email, phone or text.

Information collected automatically

Sign-up security checks. When the form is used we record the time taken to fill it in, the internet address the request came from (stored in a scrambled form), and the result of an automated check that helps tell people from software. We use these only to keep automated sign-ups out.
Advertising click identifiers. If you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads, the link includes a click identifier. We keep it with the sign-up in our own records so we can tell which ads lead to sign-ups.
Analytics, only with your permission. If you choose "Allow" in the privacy choices, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement record which pages are viewed, how far pages are scrolled, which buttons, slides and videos are used, which steps of the form are completed, and whether a sign-up was completed. The answers typed into the form are not included. If you choose "No thanks," these tools do not load.
Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as internet address, browser type and time of request, to run and secure the site.

Videos

Videos are hosted by YouTube, a Google service. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press Play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube receives technical information such as your internet address.

How we use information

To contact you by email, text message and phone about our clinical trials and medical research studies.
To understand whether a study may be a fit, using the health and study planning answers.
To keep automated and fraudulent sign-ups out.
To measure how the site and our advertising perform, if you have allowed it.
To meet legal obligations.

What we never do

We do not sell personal information or consumer health data.
We do not send names, phone numbers or any health answers to Google's advertising or analytics tools, or to any advertising platform.
If you chose "No thanks" in the privacy choices, Google's advertising and analytics tools receive nothing about the visit or the sign-up.

What Google receives if you chose "Allow"

Google Analytics and Google Ads receive a signal that a sign-up happened on this site, along with ordinary usage data such as pages viewed.
Google Ads receives a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address and the ad click identifier, used to confirm that a sign-up followed an ad click. We may also report the same thing to Google Ads later from our own records.
Because this site is about Parkinson's research, a sign-up signal can suggest an interest in that subject. That is why we ask first.

Who we share information with

We share information only with companies that process it for us, under contract, to provide the services below:

Salesforce, our contact database and email system.
Google Workspace, where sign-ups are recorded in a private spreadsheet.
Quo, which delivers our text messages.
Netlify, which hosts this site.
Cloudflare, which runs the automated check on the sign-up form.
Google Analytics and Google Ads, for measurement, only if you have allowed it.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Zhittya, our participants or the public.

Text messages

By pressing sign-up you consent to receive text messages from Zhittya Genesis Medicine regarding participation in our clinical trials and medical research studies. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Mobile phone numbers and text message consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing. Your choices and rights

See or correct the information we hold about you.
Delete your information.
Withdraw consent to the collection or sharing of your health information.
Stop messages. Reply STOP to any text. Use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Change measurement choices. Use "Privacy choices" at the bottom of any page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as "No thanks."

To make a request, email sergiy@zhittyamedicine.com or call (702) 790-9980. We will confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we will respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can ask us to review that decision by replying to our response.

How long we keep information

We keep sign-up information for as long as you remain on the interest list and for as long afterward as we need it for the purposes in this policy or to meet legal obligations. Scrambled security-check records are deleted within 30 days.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Access to sign-up information is limited to staff and service providers who need it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Consumer health data privacy policy

This section is provided under Nevada law (NRS 603A.400 to 603A.550, also known as SB 370) and similar state laws. It applies to consumer health data, which means personal information that is linked or can reasonably be linked to a person and that we use to identify that person's past, present or future health status.

Consumer health data we collect

The fact that a person has asked to hear about Parkinson's clinical trials and research studies.
The health answers on the sign-up form: diagnosis, stage, deep brain stimulation and main symptoms, together with the age and gender assigned at birth given on the same form.
Health information you choose to send us by email, phone or text.

How we collect it

Directly from you, or from the caregiver or family member who signs up on your behalf.

Why we collect and use it

To contact you about our clinical trials and medical research studies, and to assess which studies may be a fit. We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share consumer health data with the processors listed under "Who we share information with" above, so that they can store it and deliver our messages. Health answers are never shared with Google Analytics, Google Ads or any other advertising service. If you chose "Allow" in the privacy choices, those services receive a signal that a sign-up happened, as described under "What Google receives if you chose Allow." We do not share consumer health data with affiliates or other third parties for their own use. We do not sell it.

Your consent

We ask for your consent before we collect the health answers. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm whether we are collecting, sharing or selling your consumer health data; to give you a list of the third parties with whom we have shared it; to stop collecting or sharing it; and to delete it. To make a request, email sergiy@zhittyamedicine.com or call (702) 790-9980. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond in writing.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use health information you already gave us, we will ask for your consent first.
